Sheffield Theatres Trust

One of the country’s leading theatres, Sheffield Theatres is home to the world-famous Crucible, the W R G Sprague built Lyceum, and the Tanya Moiseiwitsch Playhouse.

Taking pride in creating bold, passionate and enriching work across its three stages, Sheffield Theatres has been named Regional Theatre of the Year 2017 in the Stage Awards and has won twice previously in 2014 and 2013.

Across its three theatres, the company produces a diverse programme of work, spanning a range of genres: classical revivals, new work, large-scale musicals and innovative and immersive theatre experiences. It presents the best shows currently on tour in the UK and works with theatre artists locally and nationally to nurture and develop new creative talent.

Our Change Creation Plan

Sheffield Theatres, together with the Ramps on the Moon consortium, believe that by participating in this programme together we can influence change at three levels…  Sheffield Theatres itself, across the Ramps on the Moon partners, and into the wider industry as Ramps on the Moon builds on our strategic impact.

Sheffield Theatres needs to change and become more resilient. It is time for the organisation to look inwards to become stronger, and more resilient as leaders.  The Change Creation Programme will offer the time and space to make this step change.

We want to scrutinise the way we are structured to deliver extraordinary work, build on the leadership potential of the managers we have, and improve their roles and responsibilities. We believe that diversity across our staff can be at the heart of driving this change, thereby becoming more resilient. A more skilled and motivated team will work with renewed drive and passion to become greater leaders in Sheffield and leaders for the industry.
